Misr Hotels company (an
Egyptian Joint-Stock Company) was established by virtue of the Prime
Minister’s decree dated May 11th 1955, published in the Egyptian
Chronicles Newspaper on June 20th 1955 issue No 48 in accordance
with the Companies Law No. 26/54 providing for organizing
joint-stock companies. |

In 1971 the affiliation of
the Misr Hotels Company developed to the Egyptian General Company
for Tourism and Hotels to be among the Public Sector Companies
governed by the provisions of Law No. 60/1971. |

In 1983 the Company became
governed by the provisions of Law No. 97/83 and its executive
regulation concerning public sector companies and authorities. |

In 1991 the Company became
governed by the provisions of the Public Business Sector Law No.
203/1991 and its Executive Regulation, which replaced Law No.
97/1983. |

The Company’s Article of Incorporation was amended as an Egyptian
joint stock affiliated company in the manner agreeing with the
Public Business Sector Law No. 203/1991 and its executive
regulations which replaced Law No. 97/1983 about public sector
authorities and companies which was published in the official
chronicles issue No. 217 on 27/9/1993. |
